12ms ping (on roblox)
Recently (the past two weeks) roblox has slowly become more unstable and started crashing quite often, (I have a RTX 4070 ti), once it runs it runs perfectly fine, no lag at all, but once I teleport to a different server or join someone else it almost always crashes.
Whenever I try starting roblox/joining a game it has a 40% chance of just not launching or crashing (no error message, it just straight up crashes), this started of as something that rarely happens, now it’s almost every day that it crashes at least three to four times an hour
Expected behavior
I expect to be able to join games without it crashing.
I am experiencing similar, just without the crashing, today when I was trying to launch the “Roblox Player” App, Nothing Happened so Instinctively I tried to open it again, then after 5 minutes of waiting they all opened at the same time, and I got an Easy Anti Cheat violation, which I’m unsure is relevant to this.
My system specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 6 Core Processor
GPU: RX 580 2048SP
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1578MHz (16-18-18-36)
OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
MOTHERBOARD: MPG X570 GAMING PLUS (MS-7C37) (AM4)
Right now I have Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 disabled
I don’t know if it works like this, but here’s the message with the log file since I shouldn’t be sharing it publicly according to the forum post
Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, can you please create a new private message with a new log file for us to analyze? We were not able to locate any crashes associated with the previous log.
Is there anything else that changed around the time that these crashes started?
Yeah, I’m still having this issue, but it happens way less often now.
Before, the game would crash like 3 to 4 times a day, but now it’s usually only once a day.
Most of the crashes happen when teleporting to another place in a game. It’s pretty random though and hard to reproduce on purpose. (I do still notice a big lagspike and the game freezing right before a teleport though, which usually made the client crash)
I also noticed Roblox still takes a while to start when joining a game. The game audio usually starts playing for like 5 to 10 seconds before the UI shows up.
But sometimes the client even crashes or just doesn’t load at all before the UI appears.
I haven’t really been that active on Roblox lately because of exams and work, but I’ll try to reproduce the crash again and send the logs as soon as I can.
I tried intentionally triggering the crash so I could provide logs, but I couldn’t reproduce it today. So I’m not really sure if the issue got fixed or if I just got lucky, but I’ll keep trying to reproduce it and send the logs if it happens again.
This one is a crash from before the UI shows up, I wasn’t sure which one I had to send since they were both created at the same time so I shared both
I have found some posts/videos on both reddit and youtube about people having this exact same issue and it seems like it has something to do with the fact that I have a webcam plugged in, I will try and unplug it to see if the crashing will continue or if that actually triggers the crash.
Can you please provide an updated log file from a recent version? We added additional logging recently that should hopefully allow us to root-cause this issue.
