Roblox Crashing on Windows ARM64 - Error 0xc0000005

On my Surface 11 Pro running Windows 11, the Roblox player, all the sudden today (7/22/26) has started crashing every time I launch the application. Both the Roblox application installed from the official Roblox website and the Microsoft Store version crash, with the store version giving the error code ‘(0xc0000005)’. This has persisted even after deleting both applications and their local data folders entirely, and then reinstalling. Roblox Studio does not crash and works fine.

I speculate it may be an issue with how there is still not an official binary for Windows ARM64, and the application has previously has these kinds of issues with these devices.

I checked my logs folder for Roblox and found no dump files. Though, I did find a generated Report.wer file about the crash linked in Windows Event Viewer (which I converted to .txt).

That specific error code you mentioned (0xc0000005), it likely means that Roblox Player might be doing an out-of-bounds memory write during launch/emulation. Also in your log file, Roblox Player is hitting an access violation inside xtajit64.dll, which is part of Windows’ x86 to ARM64 translation layer.

I have the same problem with a Surface 9 Pro and Windows 11 ARM64 25H2 (build 26200.8973).
Since you implemented this anticheat crap, Roblox has become totally unplayable.
