Roblox Error Code 429

Is experiencing error code 429 and can’t do anything about it to fix. I have tried everything. Many other users are having this too and can’t join any games or log into their accounts.

Expected behavior

If everything is working I would be able to join a game or a studio Tram create with no issue , along with log into my account with no error.

So far it’s not looking hopeful. Is praying this isn’t another bug that Roblox overlooks. I’m able to join on my phone but not my pc

Thanks for the bug report. We’d like to look into this. I understand that you are getting 429s on PC but not on your phone. Could you tell us more about this issue?

  1. Where and when are you seeing the 429? Does it pop up on the waiting screen after waiting a while?
  2. What games have you tried joining?
  3. When did this start happening for you?

Hi! yes:

  1. I’m seeing this issue whenever I try to join a game on PC. It pops almost immediately after press play or join server.

  2. I have tried joining multiple games like Natural Disaster Survival, Broken bones, Seaport Middle school, Area 47, etc all ending with same error 429. I have even tried using the Roblox app, it doesn’t give me the error there but it stays on “joining server” endlessly.

  3. This started happening today as far as I know. It wasn’t happening up to 3 am today, which was when I last opened Roblox.

More Information: I’m not able to join any game or studio on my PC, but I’m able to join on my phone, I can join on pc if I use my phone’s hotspot rather than my home’s wifi, which is provided by AT&T.

I am experiencing this issue as well along with some other players I am familiar with. Any attempts to join games (including private servers) we receive this error.

We’ve just deployed a fix here and things should be working as expected. Please check that everything is working on your end and let us know if you have any further questions.

It is happening again but differently. I can’t join any game on PC as it’s forever stuck on “joining server” but I can join fine on phone using my cellular data.
