A few users who play my games have reported that they are unable to play roblox on Windows on ARM devices. When using my personal Windows ARM device, I am suffering the same issue when attempting to launch the app via both the website and Microsoft store equivalent:
Here are the specs of my laptop, and below are the error codes that users have reported:
When checking, the Hardware error is due to kernel panics when attempting to run roblox, with the code 0xc0000005 that appears in the reliability monitor. The same error is thrown when attempting to launch the Microsoft store variant of the app.
In the meantime, is there anything that I can say to my players on how to mitigate this issue? It’s really a huge shame that roblox hasn’t introduced native ARM64 support for Windows devices.
It could be that you are playing on a Windows ARM device which is not designed to be for gaming, but the specs you gave me shows that it’s It’s capable to run it you even have better RAM with me I still deal with DDR4 ram 16gb
and I kinda Have the same specs I have a Lenovo Intel EVO i7 laptop 2023 and it’s designed for the same great battery @thecoumputer I will look in more deeper to find out the problem for your Windows ARM device
Thanks man, I mean it worked completely fine for my players a few weeks ago, it must of been a roblox update thats having problems with the drivers or something
I am on a WoA device right now, and I’m experiencing issues opening Roblox, both the Roblox app from the Microsoft Store and the Roblox Player from the Roblox website. Roblox Studio is unaffected.
I’d really love for them to release a native ARM64 version of Roblox already. There’s a growing userbase of Snapdragon Windows machines., and I doubt most of those users are technically savvy enough to understand why Roblox wouldn’t work on their laptop.
Coder is right I was researching about Windows ARM and Roblox does not support ARM64. The only option to play Roblox is though a android emulator. (that might not work for you)
It doesn’t support it natively but runs the x86 variant through PRISM, this has been generally very stable and good but its only the most recent update of roblox that has caused these issues.
I fully agree with CoderQC, whatever update has occured recently has caused the ARM version to become unplayable. While I appreciate the idea of emulating through the Windows subsystem for Android (android emulator), as coder correctly summed it up its essentially the idea that users aren’t tech savvy enough to take this as a path.
I’m currently experiencing the same issue through the website and the Microsoft App Store, too. Roblox usually runs full graphics for me, but this isn’t the first time the launcher has broken. Usually, one or the other breaks but in this case as OP it is both. Hopefully it can get fixed sooner than later this time
Yeah its not that our laptops specs are bad, your chipset is better than mine too so I find it really frustrating that roblox hasn’t implemented a patch yet despite it being a week of thiis outage. Imagine the perspective of a parent who bought their kid an ARM laptop only to see the kids face when it can’t even run roblox.
Its more ironic that roblox studio works fine but not the roblox player client, despite the theory always being that studio would work worse but in this case its the opposite.

I think Hyperion might be interfering here. This wouldn’t be the first time Hyperion has interfered with Windows on ARM before.
Roblox support said they are aware of the issue, initially they said they would get it fixed in 2-3 months?!?
After some more backwards and forwards they then said they are fasttracking this so hopefully it is resolved soon. I’ll come back to this post in once the fix is implemented, if it still isnt after a week I will bump this and file another report.
1k views is insane btw, thanks for all the helpful comments, if you have any more or temporary fixes please let me know!
I also received a message from a member of staff via a report saying that they were now aware of the issue and agreed that it was a problem. I do hope it isn’t 2-3 months before I can hang out with my online friends again Hopefully fast track is not as far out!
