I have no idea what is causing this, I’ve only been noticing it today, but basically after being 2 minutes into any roblox game my computer starts going haywire. At first I’ll be getting 60fps on the game. After a bit though my computer fan starts getting louder and louder and louder. Then all the sounds in the game break. They become distorted and glitchy.
The sounds start to sound exactly like this
Then the game starts to become extremely laggy. My computer starts lagging as well and my fan is blowing like crazy. I managed to snap this screenshot right before I had to exit the game because the lag was getting so bad.
Please keep in mind Ive played this game about a hundred times before and Ive never encountered a lag issue. I also get 60fps on this game.
I am only able to replicate this lag glitch by playing a roblox game. As soon as I click out of the game the lag on my computer goes away and everything returns to normal. The first time I didnt know what was going on and my computer crashed.
Also my computer was not heating up. My computer was actually cold because the fan was blowing so fast.
If anyone knows whats going on, help would be greatly appreciated.
I was able to record the glitch here which was replicated on nothing but a baseplate! (watch the frame rate drop)
I’ve also been experiencing this recently. My computer gets super laggy when playing ROBLOX for a little bit. It takes forever to load web pages and do anything on my computer. I don’t know what’s happening either since my computer is usually super speedy. It also goes away when I leave the game.
Rule of thumb when posting performance issues - ALWAYS attach a profiler capture. To get it, press Ctrl+F6 to display the profiler, and pick Dump in the menu (pick number of frames you want to save data for - 32 is usually enough for continuous performance issues). It will save an HTML file to C:\Users\yourusername - you should attach that file to the post.
Specifically in this case, you should take the capture when you start playing the game (while performance is good), and when the performance becomes bad. I don’t know if the profiling captures will help but they definitely won’t hurt… (and make sure to not have video recording enabled - it interferes with performance enough to obscure the possible causes)
