Since Roblox keeps doing these ‘Inspire’ events, how about a Virtual Café in the future?
This would allow players from all around the world to play in a café environment with their avatars, all at the same time, without having to go through the hassle of being in a physical place!
On a side note too, will an Inspire Café come to the UK in future?
Yeah, I think Roblox really likes Europeans. Unfortunate for a global company to fail to reach more support for their European developers. I personally know a lot of Developers in real life as an European, and events like this would probably improve stuff.
Hey. Wouldn’t it be better to host an ‘inspire cafe’ everywhere Roblox has offices/presence. That would cover more regions. Coordination would be the key but this would get some good PR. The world shouldn’t be just Korea and Brazil.
Roblox technically hosted a similar thing called “Creator Meetup” (later renamed to SEA Roadshow: Creator Meetup) in Southeast Asian countries since a year ago, just for some reason it’s only announced privately through DevForum DMs and e-mails (all of them which are verified Staffs and roblox.com domains).
So in this year, it’s not just USA, South Korea, and Brazil that Roblox will make events for. But more countries especially those with large market of developers are also appreciated.
Hey! I filled out the form under my main account brianxu and I accidentally put the wrong date for my availability (I am only available for the Los Angeles version). What do I do from here?
I haven’t received an invite for the New York edition yet. I’m not sure if invites have started rolling out, but I think that the application deadline is around July 5 in Los Angeles time, they may begin reviewing submissions and sending status emails after the deadline. So if you haven’t received anything yet either, it may simply still be too early.
It is a little late, but we went to Inspire Cafe in Los Angeles and it was great. I am sure the catering will be different at every event, but we enjoyed chatting with other developers over little snacks and drinks.
If you feel like a bit of an outsider to the community, this is your chance to make some friends and learn some secret best practices. The developers at the Los Angeles event had really diverse specialties, so don’t be afraid to be weird and yourself because you might just find someone who is your flavor of weird!
That sounds like such a fun experience! I applied for the Inspire Café New York City Edition on July 17, but I still have not received an invitation or any update about my application.
Could you please let me know if everyone receives an email confirming whether they were selected or not? I would also really appreciate it if you could tell me how many days before your Inspire Café you received your invitation.
I am a little worried that I may have received an email but somehow missed it, so please let me know if anything similar happened to you.
I know it is not guaranteed to get invited to Inspire Café. But I just want to know.
Thank you so much for your time and help. I really appreciate it!
I got an e-mail on the 26th, which was 12 days before the event, with an RSVP link that I had to fill out. I applied the day of or the day after this post went up, but I am also a part of the Jumpstart Program this year and was contacted about the event a few days after the 9th so that could have expedited my confirmation.
Thank you so much for explaining and for your kind wishes! Unfortunately, I never received an invitation, but I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I hope you had an amazing time at the event!
