In this challenge, you and your team must create a playable Roblox game within 72 hours, based on the theme that will be announced HERE on 2026-07-31T17:00:00Z
This year’s challenge will kick off with the theme announcement and submissions will be received until 2026-08-03T17:00:00Z!
Important: Please ensure you follow the guidelines below to submit a valid entry.
All team members must be registered on DevForum.
Teams can have 1-5 members, and all team members must maintain good standing with Roblox moderation.
The games must have been created within the challenge period, including the creation of the place.
The team members and the games must follow the Roblox Terms of Use, the Community Standards and the Terms of Participation. The Maturity & Compliance Questionnaire must be completed for every submission.
Avatars must use either an R15 rig, including custom human-form rigs with 15 or more joints or body-distributed parts in a human-like layout, or a custom non-human-form rig
As an alternative, games that do not require avatars or visible player characters, such as puzzle, strategy, and card games, are also permitted as valid entries for the challenge
Pre-made assets and pre-existing code are allowed. All pre-made materials must be disclosed in the submission survey.
We heavily encourage creators to explore rising technologies and the latest features on the platform, using this challenge as an opportunity to reimagine their skills and build for the future of Roblox.
Categories & Judging Criteria
Most Creative Exploration of Genre - Games that bring rare or underrepresented genres to Roblox in creative ways.
Most Innovative Gameplay - Games built around inventive systems, bold new takes on how players progress, compete, cooperate, or interact.
Best Look & Feel - Games that push Roblox’s ceiling with distinctive art direction, higher fidelity, or immersive new aesthetics.
Best Overall Experience - Games that bring it all together: a fresh genre, inventive gameplay, and a distinctive look & feel working in harmony.
Prizes
The winners for the Best Overall Experience will win fully paid lodging and round-trip flight tickets to RDC 2026!!*Must be 18 years or older to be eligible for the RDC prize.
For the remaining categories, the top 3 teams in each category can win the following:
1st place - USD 600 GoGift card per team member.
2nd place - USD 400 GoGift card per team member.
3rd place - USD 200 GoGift card per team member.
Honorable Mention - USD 100 GoGift card per team member.

Is it allowed to create the Game via the Roblox Game “Studio Lite”? I am on vacation and I don’t have access to my PC right now, but I really want to participate in this challenge. The new announced AI based Build Tool is probably not allowed, right?
