Roblox is not installing

Roblox installs, but the app freezes mid-installation and then suddenly closes. I’ve tried deleting files, restarting my computer, and searching the forums, but nothing has worked.

Also, Roblox has been installed to Program Files (x86) for several years now. It’s always been installed to this path, no matter what. Could this be the cause?

For now, Roblox is running fine again, but sometimes it won’t run like it does now and the file path is still the same.

It’s meant to be installed in localappdata, so it’s weird that it’s in Program Files.
When you are installing it, are you running it as administrator? I believe that that tends to be the cause for it installing in program files.

If you delete the folder from program files, and reinstall again (direct from the Roblox website, instead of using an already downloaded installer file) and make sure you don’t run it as administrator

Back in the day it used to be installed to program files, unsure what year the switch to localappdata was but it’s always possible OP installed back then and it’s still running out of there somehow

I have already installed it as administrator and I even have reinstalled it, but it gave me same result.

Don’t install it as an administrator

Also, as a workaround, you can try downloading it through the Microsoft Store. It won’t have voice chat, but should otherwise be the same (you won’t be able to access games via the web though)

Then I think it will be inconvenient to play the game.

When did that change? I haven’t played Roblox for a long time, so that might not be the issue.

Could you include your system information and your log files? You can DM me the logs, just let me know when you did so. Thanks!
