Roblox is re-naming my game's invite notifications in a misleading way, to something that has NEVER been the title!?

This is the name of my game, currently.

THIS is what showed up just now when I received an invite from someone on my friend’s list, to my own game.

I really don’t think I even need to describe this bug… Roblox added “(Early Access Sale!)” to the end of my game’s title for an invite.

Now, as far as I’m concerned, that has never been in the title of my game, nor is my game in early access, nor is there a sale going!

My game currently has a downvote issue and I don’t need roblox lying to my users on my behalf, making things worse.

There is maybe a potential chance that, many years ago, this could have been the game’s title… but I am fairly sure it wasn’t, and if it was, it would have been years ago.

This does not make any sense to me. Is roblox using AI text for their invites?
That’s a rather embarrassing waste of power, if so. But what else could even cause something like this?

It needs to stop, whatever is happening.

I’m genuinely still not sure why this is happening. I hope this isn’t negatively impacting anyone, though my 7d retention is also crashing for some (likely unrelated) reason.

Have you tried changing the title in both Configure Place and Configure Experience? Sometimes Roblox can pull the older name if it wasn’t updated in both spots. If you’ve already done that and it’s still showing the wrong name, then it’s probably something on Roblox’s end.

Again, this was not ever an older name. This is a completely fabricated name, seemingly.

The only off-chance it was ever a name would have been 3+ years ago, but I do not recall ever using this naming convention.

Hey, sorry about the misunderstanding. This is honestly a really strange issue. It might be a bug on Roblox’s side, but I’m not completely sure. I don’t think there’s much we can do from our end. Have you tried reaching out to Roblox Support? That’s probably your best option right now. Hopefully they can help and get it sorted out soon.

Well, I mostly just wanted them to be aware that it is a potential, very strange issue, hence why I posted it here on the bug board - But yes, I agree, not much we can do from here.

Historically roblox has been pretty good at identifying and responding to my bug reports, though recently might be a bit of an exception lol

I would say this is a translation issue, tho I’m not sure what could translate “Auto-Click” to “Early Access Sale”…

My 2nd guess is that it’s an experimental feature from Roblox to try to give your game more attraction.

Either way, you didn’t consent to this.

Could you check on your experience creator page in the “Engagement → Notifications” category, there is an invite message there that you can modify.

My guess is that you probably created the game with that name, but at the same time you said you don’t use that format for game names, so it could very well just be a bug too.. Just the most likely thing I can think of

I can do that, thanks for the information. Though I don’t really understand how that page works, and the document for it is a little confusing and overwhelming (Mostly talking about scripting invites but there are no scripted invites in my game), I’m sure I’ll figure it out though.

Bug report will still be left open though because this is a very unusual bug.

We’ve fixed the bug! Everything should be running properly now.

For some context on the bug. There was a bug where an old cached translation of your game’s title from the past was being used in the notifications due to change in experience’s source language. Roblox was not adding any additional strings to the notification and we have fixed the issue.

Please let us know if you are still encountering any issues here. Thanks!

Are you sure that this wasn’t a previous game name that you had? This could be a minor bug where when your game was in early access when you named the title that, it then thought the game name was that for some reason.
