Roblox just ruined building | Why precision is impossible

Roblox’s introduction of their building system has some great benefits.

I’m referring to how it auto snaps to specific points like the ends of blocks and stuff

The main issue, however, comes down to precision.

When you set your stud size to something high so you can have precise movement, this snapping behavior is actually malicious.

It bypasses your stud size preference and forces parts to snap to ends rather than how you want it. This causes building that looks like this

As you can see the snapping behavior bypasses the grid size of 5, making precision impossible

Its roblox’s ethical duty to allow us to toggle this behavior for precision

Just like we can toggle grid placement itself or modes like transform/move/scale, roblox should not immorally force this mode

This is but another example of the disconnect between Roblox engineers and their developers, where the engineers release features that are oblivious to actual developer usage. Its clear roblox needs to hire better engineers who have more capacity for thought, testing, and research. Actual builders who innovate to help not code monkeys who just fufill tasks

You can toggle this behavior in the dropdown of the Geometric button.
