What do you want to achieve?
I play music through roblox VC via a mix of voicemeeter and foobar2k, ideally I’d like to continue doing this, as I have been doing before (if a player finds this a issue they are free to mute my VC stream, I do not intend to be disruptive)
What is the issue?
Roblox will constantly strike down my audio as violating “community standards” when the audio is not distorted, excessively loud, or contains any sort of profanity
What solutions have you tried so far?
I’ve tried lowering the audio volume, but this does nothing, Roblox seems to target any audio played over VC now.
Roblox has struck me down for playing Parry Gripp’s “Space Unicorn” song, and has temporary VC banned me.
Could really well be due to copyrighted music, even thought to my knowledge most of Parry Grips music is on marketplace, free for use in any game. Is there any specific violation mentioned or have you tried contacting moderation with this?
I didn’t get any violations before, and the majority of the music I’m playing has no copyright of any sort.
Since I didn’t get a full moderation i cannot contact roblox’s moderation team.
Hmm, community regulations do not mention playing music via voice chat being prohibited, only following mentions playing music to be against community standards:
Couldn’t find any other mention on playing music. Anyways, I recommend trying to open the ticket and try to resolve the strikes or whatever moderation action you got.
You can also test this with Parry Gripp (who has multiple songs on the platform) and it’ll just nuke these songs for “community violations”, even pure instrumental noise triggers the “you are violating community guidelines” popup until your VC gets muted.
here’s some actual proof, my bad for not submitting this at first with video evidence
what part of “roblox community guidelines” does the instrumental music violate?
As for the noise, it is not excessively loud, voicemeeter is set to -26.8dB output, its only loud on my mirrored audio stream.
this appears to be the case
side A is the volume mirrored back to me, at -55 decibels the audio doesn’t set off the automod, but the moment I turn it to ~-20 decibels, the automod gets set off despite it being incredibly quiet on my end.
further testing shows that -55 dB is barely audible/not audible at all, when the HELL will roblox add a feature to test your VC output?
another update
I still get randomly struck down for the AI misinterpreting random instrument sections as “violating community guidelines”.
but it seems like this is mostly nipped in the bud for now.
