Manually update your browser. This kind of stuff happened to me all the time, and it turned out my browser’s auto-update wasn’t near as fast as it should have been. For whatever reason the plugin didn’t work until my browser was up to date.
You may have accidentally clicked (or Chrome just decided) to block plugins on roblox.com. In chrome, try navigating to chrome://settings/contentExceptions#plugins . See if [*.]www.roblox.com is in there, and see if it is set to Allow.

I’m having the same issue as InceptionTime, it’s been going on an off for around six months now. The plugin is set to ‘allow’ for mine, but I still can’t join ROBLOX games on google chrome.

I have fixed it now. I emailed info@roblox.com and they gave me a couple of solutions to fix this. The one solution they gave and worked was this.
