So, I’ve started noticing, that roblox pcvr is running laggy at max graphics quality, but if I do the same thing while playing without vr it runs perfectly? Here are comparisons: PCVR:
When using VR, everything is getting rendered twice, so worse performance is expected.
For VR to work correctly, it has to render both the left and right eye view, which of course doubles the amount of work the GPU is doing.
I’m also not 100% sure on this, but a lot of VR games I’ve played have limited their framerates to the headsets refresh rate. I’m not sure if ROBLOX does this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does.
A prime example of a game running far worse in VR but perfectly on PC is VRChat.
On desktop mode, I can easily get 100FPS, however, in VR, I’m lucky if I get 40FPS.
yeah but I’ve noticed that perfomance started being bad when roblox added left sided menu, for example vr hands had the classic menu that was opening from the top, but after sometime it has changed to the left sided one and perfomance started being bad
