Roblox physics, or custom physics?

so, i’m gonna make a car chassis but i’m not sure if i should use roblox constraints or not. roblox constraints from my experience are really buggy and i also hear that they are unoptimized. should i use custom physics? thanks

I haven’t used custom physics on any of my vehicles.
Yes, sometimes it can be a bit of a trial and error process, but once you get a feel for vehicle ‘mass’ and how springs and hinges react it isn’t bad.
I think one of the biggest issues is people try to change the density of a lot of their suspension Parts, or make them Massless. I’ve found that keeping the Parts at their default Properties helps out a lot.

You mentioned that they seem unoptimized, and yes, they can be if you have a lot of moving Parts with Constraints.
