This isnât gonna force them to read the rules. If they werenât gonna read the rules to begin with then this will only make them simply wait until it lets them skip past that tutorial. It will gain no benefit to users and only negatively impact people who do follow the rules.
Hey! Iâve just received DevForum access a few days ago and it actually gave me a tutorial by @discobot. Upon completion of the tutorial, itâd given me a âCertifiedâ role.
I think when users sign up to for the dev forum they should force them to do a tutorial because as said here:
This is a common issue, and itâs mainly to newer people on the devforum the best you can do is redirect them and flag the post for being off topic if its not used in the right category.
I know they have the discobot tutorial but you donât have to do it I believe the forum tutorial should be mandatory.
Ok I get your stance, but I need to know, how do you think this is going to help anymore than the tutorial you are given when you start making a topic that the same people actively choose to ignore.
Cause honestly there are no benefits of creating this, theyâre just gonna ignore it, or forget it, and it would just be a waste of the engineers time when they could be working on something else.
I read on another post that the majority of people on the devforum are under 18, so this can lead to posts that sre flagged often, so i think either the requirements of being able to post topics should be higher or that the tutorial should be mandatory.
âwastes our timeâ
Listen here, the DevForum has itâs own rules, learn to respect them, or donât use it at all. Simple. The rules are here for a reason, to make sure that everything stays in order, and that everything remains under control. If you are to receive moderation based on something youâve done supposedly to violate DevForum guidelines, you should take notice to the report the moderator has given, instead of downright ignoring the feedback. If you believe a moderation action to have been incorrect/unfairly given, you should open up a ticket to ask for more information in regards to said actions given, and that you want to make sure your mistakes are fixed. Like it or not, as we are under Robloxâs DevForum, however they choose to moderate it, they can do as they wishâŚ
There really isnât anything more to it, just read the rules.
Well I did realize that these type of topics are one of the points of the moderator job and make moderators work to correct it lol. But the rules take long to fully read though. Edit: I guess its up to Roblox however they want the devforum to be.
Yes they do, but you must do it regardless, to avoid moderation. You have to always abide by the services youâre using and their rules, whether you like it or not.
