The user Currently playing (The one that shows what the user is playing/or in studio) is delayed i tested this by joining on my alt account and this is what happened
I joined a game and then left it.
The status still showed me as playing that game for several minutes after I had already left.
then i joined Catalog Avatar Creator but it still showed the previous game.
5 mins later it updated to show Catalog Avatar Creator even though I had already left by then
Another 5 mins before it finally showed me as offline.
This makes it difficult for friends to join each other in real time
Expected Behavior:
It should update when i leave and join at the exact moment not take 5 mins
I’m getting this as well, and I would like to add that it can be delayed by a little more than 5 minutes - for me, it’s showing people playing games they actually left 2+ hours ago.
Alongside that, it’ll sometimes just fake user activity, as in some instances you just can’t join them at all, instead getting a permissions error, even if it’s the most openly available server ever seen in server history
This is the case mostly for the roblox website.
Using the roblox application updates it a lot faster but I am not sure if it is instantaneous.
I recommend checking the roblox app whenever you are actively playing with a friend until this gets fixed.
My brother left a game yesterday, and he was shown online the entire day. And today, it started showing that he’s in a different game that he last played about 2 days ago.
He was offline the entire time.
This has been happening for the last few days, saying that I am in-game when in fact I am not.
I’ve heard people say they can’t join me through my profile because it says the experience is restricted, possibly because I’m not even in that game, and I’m in another game actually.
i second this, it has been happening for a few days now and it’s quite annoying when i want to join my friends but it displays an entirely different game. a friend of mine was playing a game yesterday and the website continues to display that exact game, despite the fact he hasn’t touched that game for a day now.
