Roblox social link "Roblox Community" wont accept what seems like proper links

Putting a link into the Roblox Community section of a game is not accepting the proper link.

– By removing the text after the community ID, it seems to work. However, this should still be considered a bug, as having the group name in the link should still be an accepted link. Otherwise, it should be more visibly stated for developers.

I have tried the following:

  • Replacing “communities” with “groups”
  • Removing and readding the “https://”
  • Removing the “/about”
  • Removing the “#!/about”
  • Adding a / to the end.

For some reason, your link needs to be really specific. For example, it can’t be “https://www.roblox.com/communities/7/Roblox#!/about” or “https://www.roblox.com/communities/7/” but this link gets accepted:
https://www.roblox.com/communities/7

Roblox only allows you to put the first part of the link and then the ID without anything after. I would still classify this as a bug since the link should get accepted either way in my opinion and also adds confusion

This worked, thank you. However, I’m gonna choose to leave this open as what I put in originally should still be considered a valid link. It just contains the group name. I imagine there’s been many people who have had this issue unresolved because they haven’t tried looking further.
