Roblox Social Links Warning Prompt

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too easy to get scammed or exposed to bad 3rd party pages.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because some users might publish inappropriate content on their “Youtube, Discord, Twitter, Twitch” which they link to their Roblox profile.

As we know, users are able to link their Guilded, Discord, Youtube, Twitter, Twitch & Facebook socials on their Communities, User Profiles, Experience pages & marketplace assets.
This feature is very good because it allows users to discover the creator’s other stuff & possibly contact them, however there’s users who use this feature for bad intend, in order to expose others to inappropriate content that’s either in a Discord server or on a Twitter profile.

Roblox should implement some sort of warning, when you click on a user’s Social links. This warning should warn the user that they’re being taken off-site and that Roblox is not responsible for the content they’re about to see. Additionally, Roblox should allow users to report those that linked an inappropriate Discord server, Twitter profile, or anything that can be used to harm the person viewing the page.

For Communities we should have a new option in here, such as “Inappropriate Social Links”.

I’m sure that the Roblox staff viewing this will know what’s the best to do and how to implement this feature, but I really hope we’ll get something like this very soon. Roblox is a very huge platform now and stuff like this would really be needed!

Yes. Even Minecraft has this system of warning off site locations. Roblox should have this too.

For reference, this already happens on the Talent Hub! I would love to see this feature everywhere on the platform.

Oh thanks for letting me know! I wasn’t aware about the feature on the talent hub, but would be nice to see this everythere on the platform!

While being here, I would love to see Roblox allowing users to attach devforum links to creator marketplace items, groups, experiences & profiles!

This actually does exist but only inside the roblox app (For roblox games). Would be nice to see it on the website and other places like profiles aswell

I doubt it will be hard for it to be added considering roblox already has this prompt existing

I agree, I’m surprised the only protection against stuff like this is making sure the URL you enter has the name of the social link you’re adding, for example. YouTube needs to have a link like “youtube.com/@Roblox”.

If ROBLOX added basic functionality (let’s be honest) like this, this would at least warn younger users if they’re being redirected to people which have NSFW Twitter accounts linked to their profile…
