What do you want to achieve? I want to stop my studio from lagging
-
What is the issue? Recently, I’ve been using Roblox Studio and noticed it lagging a lot. I was able to fix this earlier by re-installing roblox studio, but now the lag has come back and reinstalling + complete wipe isn’t doing anything. I have a very beefy PC, my drivers are up-to-date, windowed optimizations are off (and roblox is set to high performance in settings), vsync and max frame rate are off in Nvidia program settings for roblox. Checking in task manager, the engine isn’t using a lot of CPU or GPU. It also lags in the script editor, making it annoying to script.

What solutions have you thought of so far? Updating drivers, changing graphics, etc. I also found that for some reason the lag goes away for a few seconds whenever my cursor hovers over an item on the toolbox.
I have also been experience these performance hits. Simply being on the studio home page or a baseplate will result in 10 FPS. Updating drivers and reinstalling studio has done nothing.
Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 14700k
GPU: Rtx 5080
I’ve been monitoring my pc resources while working in Studio and everything has been normal. My FPS is only impacted while using Roblox Studio, not the Roblox Player.
I’ve been monitoring my iGPU utilization as well, however it’s been at 0% since its not being used.

yeah we’re basically having the same problem… if your on a laptop, try to check out all of your power saving settings and stuff like that. im on desktop so i didnt change any of that. fps in roblox client isnt affected for me too.
I just rebooted studio, the lag is magically gone… I’m not sure if I should mark this as solved or keep going, considering the lag is probably gonna come back and @Vylith is having trouble…
