Roblox Studio cannot open any places – “Failed to fetch place info”

Roblox Studio is unable to open any of my places. Whenever I try to open one, I receive the following error:

“We could not open the place [140560108653353]. Failed to fetch place info.”

This happens with all of my existing places, not just one specific place. I also tried creating/opening a new Baseplate, but I am experiencing the same issue.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Roblox Studio
  2. Try to open any existing place
  3. Roblox Studio displays the error: “Failed to fetch place info”
  4. Try creating or opening a new Baseplate
  5. The issue still occurs

I have already tried completely deleting and reinstalling Roblox Studio, but the problem continues.

Expected behavior

Roblox Studio should successfully fetch the place information and open my existing places. I should also be able to create and open a new Baseplate without receiving this error.

I thought I was just having this issue. I also noticed the experiences/game thumbnails don’t load at all in the studio menu.

Yeah, I also noticed that too. The game thumbnails aren’t loading in my Roblox Studio menu either, so it seems like the issue may be affecting more than just the opening places

Update: The issue is fixed for me now. Logging out of Roblox Studio, completely closing it, and then logging back in fixed the problem! I can now open my places and create baseplates normally. Thank you for the help! :heart_on_fire:
