So I don’t have a video or anything, but playing with my controller for a while resulted in me changing game in Roblox.. First time around I just left the game I was playing. Second time around I left the game, went into charts, selected a specific game category (I didnt pay attention), joined a random game and moved away from a spawn point (The game I randomly joined was pls donate) and I was on somebody’s booth
This is dangerous behaviour as I could’ve purchased anything during that time I was unaware
I am on windows 11 24H2
Expected behavior
Roblox should ignore input from controller when you’re not focused on the game
@Sylmat , can you please share what controller were you using? Can you also please confirm that the window with Roblox client was actually unfocused and not, for instance, left open on a second monitor.
We’ve attempted to reproduce the issue on a windows device without success. Roblox correctly stops receiving controller input as soon as another window becomes focused and resumes after Roblox client is focused back. We are closing the thread for now, but please share any additional information or steps that could be valuable for us to re-open the investigation.
I had suspicions it might’ve been due to games replacing you.. e.g. Saber Simulator after a little bit less than 20 minutes will automatically teleports you back inside their game to prevent you from being disconnected. Roblox gets in a weird state that allow inputs to pass through.
Here’s a video showing it (I forgot the upload limit, here’s a medal link to the clip):
