Small Dev Here – Getting Moderation With No Specific Reason and 3-Day Replies
I’m posting this out of frustration and also hoping someone here has dealt with the same thing.
I’m a small developer and my experience only has around ~1,000 visits . It’s not a big game at all, and I’m not trying to push anything controversial. I even spent Robux on ads recently just to try to grow the game a bit. Right when it started getting a little momentum, moderation hit the experience.
The main problem isn’t even the moderation itself — it’s that I still don’t know what the exact violation is .
I contacted support and the responses take about 3 days each time , and the replies are extremely vague. They just say that something violates policy, but they never say what specific message, asset, or feature triggered it.
Because of that, I already went through the game and removed or filtered everything related to chat that could possibly trigger the system. As far as I can tell, there is nothing left that should violate text chat rules anymore.
But since the responses from support don’t give any specific details, I’m basically stuck guessing what the issue could be while waiting several days between every reply. For a small developer, this is really frustrating because momentum matters a lot when you’re trying to grow a new experience.
It honestly feels bad spending time building something, promoting it with ads, and then getting stuck in moderation without even knowing what exactly needs to be fixed.
So I’m wondering:
- Has anyone else experienced moderation with no specific explanation like this?
- Is there any way to get an actual specific violation from support instead of generic responses?
- Is there a better way for small developers to resolve moderation issues faster?
I’m not trying to break the rules — I just want to know what exactly needs to be fixed so I can correct it and move on.
Any advice would really help.
