Hello.
I discovered this morning on the documentation that Roblox allows us to upload videos that can go up to a resolution of 4096x2160.
To test by myself whether or not that was actually true (as I’d be interested in having 4K videos on my game), I decided to upload a 4k60fps video through the new Asset Manager Beta, which worked and it seemed, according to the video’s size, that it was indeed a 4k60fps video. I also made sure to check before uploading that it is infact 4k, which it is.
As you can see on the screenshot below, when in-game, the side by side showcase demonstrates that the image on the right (in-game) does not match at all the resolution of the original video (on the left).
Due to image compression unless the image is downloaded the difference in resolution is not really noticeable
Expected behavior
I believe this is not an intended feature, as it is “advertised” on the documentation page that you can upload videos with a resolution that can reach 4096x2160 maximum, so it would be logical to assume that the VideoFrame would output the video you just uploaded’s original resolution and not an arbitrary one.
