Hey Roblox Traders! I built a small Windows app that posts trade ads to Rolimons on a schedule so you don’t need to keep a Roblox client open just to advertise.

Why use this?

  • Low resource: the core runner is written in Rust, so it uses far less CPU and memory than a full Roblox client.
  • Multitask: keep playing games or doing other tasks while your saved ads post automatically.
  • Reusable presets: save your Offer/Request combos as ad presets and run them on a timer.
  • Safer defaults: minimum interval prevents spamming (15 minutes minimum), and the app prompts you to provide the session cookie (roli_verification) only when needed.

Key features

  • Build offers from your inventory and select requested catalog items or request tags.
  • Save ad presets and start/stop background runners per ad.
  • Automatic posting every N minutes (configurable, min 15).
  • Uses your Rolimons session cookie to post directly (no browser automation required).
  • Thumbnail previews for offer/request items and live post logs.

How to use roli-trade-ad-automation

This quick guide walks through verifying your Roblox account and posting trade ads .

1. Verify your Roblox account

Before posting, verify your Roblox profile by adding generated verification code to your about.

  1. Enter and find your username.

  1. Generate a verification code from the app.
  • Go to your Roblox profile > About section and paste the generated verification code there.

  • Wait a few moments for Roblox to save the description, then click “Verify” in the app.

2. Load your inventory

Once verified, the app will load your inventory and enrich each instance with catalog metadata.

Notes:

  • Inventory is refreshed automatically every 20 minutes.

  • Use the “Refresh Inventory” button to force a reload.

3. Build an ad (Offer & Request)

  • Offer: select up to 4 items from your inventory.

  • Request: select up to 4 catalog items or tags describing what you want.

Tips:

  • Use the search box to find catalog items by name or abbreviation.

  • Tags (e.g., ANY, DEMAND) count toward the 4-request limit.

3.5. Verify roli verification

When it is your first time posting an ad, you will be prompted to enter your roli verification cookie.

Go to rolimons.com, open your browser’s developer tools (usually F12/inspect element), and find the value of the roli_verification cookie.

cookie-3

4. Save and run ads

  • Click “Save as ad” to persist the current offer/request as a reusable ad.

  • Open the Ads manager to view saved ads, set a global posting interval (minimum 15 minutes), and start/stop runners.

  • Click the play button and it will run every interval you set, defaulted to 15 minutes.

Important:

  • The app prevents intervals shorter than 15 minutes since the cooldown is 15.

Security & privacy

  • The roli_verification cookie is a sensitive session token — only paste your own cookie and never share it publicly.
  • The app stores the token locally; it does not transmit it to third-party servers. Use at your own risk and follow Rolimons/Roblox ToS.
  • Recommended: use a dedicated browser profile when extracting the cookie, and avoid storing tokens in shared scripts.

Feedback & how to help

  • Try it and tell me: were postings reliable? any errors or confusing prompts? which features would help you?
  • If you hit issues: please paste logs (from the app’s Logs window) and describe the step you took. Feature requests welcome — e.g., better scheduling, multiple account support, or a safer cookie workflow.
  • Note: The code is unsigned, so windows defender will flag it.
  • If you like this app, I would greatly appreciate sharing it with friends that trade, or to the community. More active users means more feedback for me to improve and expand on the app.

Gotchas

  • VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found - install msoft c++ redis at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist
  • roli verification prompt constantly appearing - Your chrome is not logged in to rolimons, or some unexpected error.
  • Why is this app an exe instead of a safer option like a web app or otherwise? The first reason is because web apps and browsers tend to eat up a lot of memory. This app was created to save resources, so having a web app would be counter intuitive. The second reason is due to CORS restrictions placed on the rolimons API endpoints, so an executable is the workaround.
  • Installing new versions - For now, I don’t have a dedicated installer to track and install updates in the app, so if you find that your app is not working for any reason, try to install the newest release. The first release should always be serviceable, but future releases will have potential bug fixes or new updates. There is no good reason for not having an installer. I am just lazy

TLDR: Rolimons Trade Ad Automation posts saved trade ads on a schedule so you can keep playing while ads run in the background. It’s lightweight (Rust), saves ad presets, and requires only your Rolimons session cookie to post.

Noted bug: Application not rendering new limiteds like gcwhp

Bug fixed (sort of). It wont render the thumbnail or value/rap, but it will successfully pass on to the POST trade ad function.

Hi all, there are multiple different bugs and issues relating to DLLs and also issues related to scheduling, which i will be planning to fix in the very near future (i use the app myself)

Patch 0.1.2

  1. Fixed ads posting earlier then set interval.
  2. Fixed the app prompting for roli_verification when restarting an ad.

Patch v0.1.4

(yes i skipped 0.1.3 - no good reason)

  1. Fixed intervals falling back to 15 and ignoring user set intervals
    image
Click the save button to apply interval. To be 100% sure, stop and restart the ad
  2. Changed logic to prioritize fetching of items, decals and thumbnails are secondary (optional)

FINAL FIX: Migrated rolimons endpoints, now includes newer limiteds such as gcwhp.

MINOR 0.2.2

  1. Changed scheduling logic to always use user defined interval - should never default to 15

  2. Added toggleable desktop notifications that notify you when an item in your inventory has changed in value

  3. Switched to new rolimons v2 endpoint to fetch all new limiteds. For some reason I was using the legacy endpoint

Noted that there is an issue with the app not persisting new ROLI_VERIFICATION cookies. Will come up with a fix soon. I probably won’t be adding any new features, since overengineering is a thing.

PATCH 0.2.3

Resolved issue where latest cookies were not saving

Great bot! But it would be great if there was an option to add multiple copies of same item in request tab and option to add robux to the offer, thanks.

Hey! sorry for not replying any sooner. I believe if you have duplicates of the same item, the app will show 2 different itemcards of the same item. As for adding Robux to the offer, that’s a great suggestion that i did not think of beforehand. Will consider adding this in the future, as i have just been maintaining the app as is. Thanks for your feedback!

p.s have also noted cookies not persisting, will try to debug this when i next work on the app

Any plans for supporting linux?

ngl just get the source code and rewrite it using AI bc it was also made in AI :eyes:

Hey you’re not wrong :joy::joy:… But with the help of it I can build stuff better than a redundant rolimons API wrapper for a game <300 visits! Though im not sure why you wouldnt use an async function here instead of having the response block and freeze the entire thing! Really taught me the value of creating a useless fetch function to an external API with zero rate limiting. Did you take 90% of your code from the boilerplate and documentation?

Here’s a thought though: lose the redundant event connections, and why not add a coroutine so your server doesn’t freeze on every player join? Revolutionary stuff, I know.

But it’s all part of the learning process, you’ll get there soon!:blush: They just be giving out the Programmer tags to ANYONE huh

Youre self-proclaimed “vibecoder” so i dont get why you got mad from that reply.

How did you get so mad that you used my project that was made 3 years ago. Back when AI was awful so i couldnt vibecode like you.

You can hate me or my skills but this project is still bad tho.
why are u making a locally hosted trade ad poster thats an EXE FILE :sob::sob::sob:
Just go make a discord bot like everyone is doing or find a better stuff to do.

Criticizing my skills when your project is a mess too is crazy :sob:

Why are you doing verification stuff twice ?

You couldnt even add tag images :sob:
Just snoop around network requests and go download them dude :sob:

Also, how do you screw up simple things as image transparency.

Your reply also looks AI generated. Its just sad how AI dependent you are.
YOU CANT EVEN FLAME PEOPLE ON YOUR OWN :sob::sob::sob:

Its crazy that you have such ego when your projects isnt even good :sob::sob::sob:

Hi! Looks like i struck a nerve there. The reason why it’s a Tauri app (not just an “EXE FILE”, guess you haven’t got there yet!) is to touch on the efficiency of rust (the programming language!). Maybe you would have known the benefits if you took the time to read the post, as i have stated around the end of the original post.

I see that you’ve tried to address a few issues with my app. While i agree that the UI is not great, the other points you raised are, frankly, intellectually anaemic. The first level of verification is for the app itself, to ensure that it is truly you using the automation. The second is required for the app to post out requests using your roli verification token. Both layers are required for the app to work properly, not just “Verification stuff”.

Sometimes it works in your favour to actually try and know your stuff beforehand. I’d like to keep this thread for actual bug findings and discussion, so I hope this issue has been resolved. Thanks!

Your app doesnt need 2 verifications. Just use rolimons api to verify it twice for you😭

“intellectually anaemic.” are your skills.
HOW DO YOU SCREW UP IMAGE TRANSPARENCY :sob::sob::sob::sob:

If youre insulting someone for being a bad programmer meanwhile screwing up basic stuff like this says alot about you.

This app is doing 1 api request in the background just to post trade ads every 15 minutes.
It doesnt need to be efficient. Even if so, making this as an “Tauri app” is pointless. You could have made a discord bot in rust. Youre just creating slop to spam stuff in your portfolio.

Youre so lazy that you cant even bother to type your own replies.

You stopped working on this slop months ago so I dont see a reason why comments here would matter to anyone.
