This probably doesn’t make much sense but i think this video will clarify what i mean. this has severely impeded my work. it’s not just my rigs, even my own avatar does the same thing, freshly imported by the way.
pressing ctrl + l changes nothing. i have no idea what to do, i think i have had this issue in the past but i have no idea how i fixed it. i’ve looked in studio’s settings and didn’t find anything relevant.
tried all of these too because my mouse sometimes double clicks but none of them solve the issue. please help me, i am genuinely losing my mind. this is happening in any project too, and it outright doesn’t let me move limbs of some of my rigs because of it.

this is still an issue. i have reinstalled studio, reset settings, and clean reinstalled it. nothing worked. it also broke things further since now the tabs on my left (toolbox and asset manager) disappear during playtest leading to this beautiful aspect ratio
Yeah Im pretty sure it always does that in studio, I think for poeses and stuff you can use robloxs animation editor and it should rotate correctly
it never did that. using the animation editor does NOT fix it either.
If you create a new rig with the rig builder does that also not work? I know you said your avatar doesnt work imported, but im not sure if you mean like you used a plugin to get your avatar and maybe the plugin is just has a bug?
When you use the default studio rotate tool, it doesn’t take into account joints when you rotate parts. Rather, it rotates the part in-place around its pivot point. If you want to rotate the limb according to its joint offset, you’ll need to use the Animation Editor, or use an Animation/pose plugin such as Moon Animator.
If you don’t want to use an animation editor to pose the character, for example if you’re trying to just make a static pose for a photo or statue, you can instead adjust the pivot point of the body’s limbs like so:

no, i imported it with roblox’s rig builder.
the animation editor does not take it into account either. there are also no attachments but the thing is there were no attachments prior and it worked. maybe roblox’s new attachment update broke something?
also i swear that moving a limb would take that into account.
In order for the animation editor to work as intended, the rig needs to have Motor6Ds in them (the joints in the character that allows the body parts to smoothly rotate and offset) such as the neck, left shoulder and so on. It’s possible that the rig you’ve imported with Roblox’s rig builder did not import correctly/was not set up correctly?
every rig that was already working prior stopped working correctly. plus, they wouldn’t rotate at all in the animation editor if they didn’t have any.
