Heya guys, it’s root I decided to make a new thread for all of this stuff so I can update it, and edit it. Without having to bump the other thread all the time, I’ll be posting the updates here so keep a look out.
Updates:
We’ve opened a forum and are hoping to build a good strong community before release. If you’re interested in getting to know us, or our project, feel free to join us at: Roverse Forums
Hard to say with the httpservice limit. The scripts actually broke due to poor handling that was my fault so. I’m going to have to spend a few hours on editing and finding solutions to work around the limit. I really wish that like it wouldn’t have a 500 request limit. Should be like 9k xD.
You crashed hostgator? If you crashed hostgator with roverse, that means I might need to move rbxdatabase to a dedicated server, considering we currently use hostgator.
Have you considered Google App Engine? It’s free until you exceed usage quotas, and being Google’s pumps and pipes, you’re unlikely to clog 'em.
I’ve been looking at Google’s App Engine for my own project, but I’ve not gotten round to setting up appcfg or whatever it is.
I’m partial to Go, it’s compiled, and about as fast as Java (which is fast in this context), but has lightweight syntax comparable to Python, vs. all the boilerplate cruft that comes along with Java.
Python, Java, PHP, and Google’s own Go(lang).

Yep, I’ll have a go with it.
