Save Risky Strats

Every server I join there is one guy with a million units who is obviously winning but refuses to end the game. This while everyone else stands around waiting for the next round to start.

I think this is killing the game’s popularity.

I’ll snapchat adrian and tell him to add a time limit or a vote end.

A good lobby system would also work. Everyone starts in a lobby then in teleported as a group into a game. Once the game starts, no new people come into the game.

As I recall he was planning on adding ranks and then doing ranked matches and matchmaking, but he’s trying to get time to work on the love2d version so I’m sorry but I don’t think it’s likely he’s going to do anything but a hotfix for that particular issue.

The problem is, this requires universes as well as creating places over and over rather than just using two showcases. A good idea would instead be a property of game or players that could set the amount of players allowed to be in-game. So for example, a game might allow a maximum of 20 players. When a round starts the game could set this property to 0. It wouldn’t remove any in-game players but would force other players not to be able to join.

Server priority is very important in my opinion.

I’ve got this problem with my entry for the GCC, and I can’t use universes since NobleDragon I am assuming seems to only want a single showcase.

busy trying to get scholarships. Will fix asap.

asap being not now

Hey man, this happens in StarCraft all the time. Lets fix the entire RTS genre!

But yeah, Lobby system!

I actually made a server prioritization module and I’ve recently recoded it making customization really easy.

Okay. I saved Risky Strats.

If no city is attacked for 120 seconds, the game stalemates and everyone gets 25% of the points they’d normally get.

Sounds… kinda patch worky.

This works pretty well, but it really has to be longer than 2 minutes. I was playing a game and there were 3 people left. Yellow and I teamed green, then started reamassing our troops to fight. This took longer than 2 minutes and the game ended before we started to fight.
