I’m currently developing a security panel UI for an in-game system, focused exclusively on camera monitoring. My goal is to create a clean, intuitive interface that allows players to easily switch between multiple camera feeds. I’d really appreciate any feedback on the design and/or the overall layout. Screenshots are included below—thanks in advance for your input.
I would flip the camera status and battery %
Have the camera name then battery % with status under it
Currently, the battery status labels (“Offline”, “Online” and “Battery Low”) seem to be redundant since it can be directly associated with battery percentage.
What I recommend is to remove the those battery status so it does not cause “reading” fatigue. Then, when the battery reaches to zero, make the battery percentage text to be “flashing” for few seconds and then transition to the red offline text.
If it has a recharge mechanism, the “power on” would do the same flashing thing starting from green “Online” text label, and then transition to Battery percentage level.
I completely agree. Thanks for the feedback.
I like it!
Especially the second UI. One feedback I would give is to avoid using all black or all white. Its a common design principle, but making it darker gray would be better I think and would look cleaner. Also perhaps making the background colour either a bit lighter or dark in the first UI would look better because currently it doesn’t seem to match the colour scheme. Best of luck, and if you need more help feel free to DM me or reach out here!
This security panel UI looks AWESOME! The theme and style is cool, and it’s great! Nice job on this! How long did it take for you to make this? I rate it 9/10!
@wallofgarlic @MYOriginsWorkshop @PandaPb @agentphilip07 Below, I’ve attached a screenshot of the updated UI. I took some your guys’ feedback into consideration; let me know what you think!
Looks good! I would align the motion detected to be at the edge of the boxes so it lines up. Or in the middle
