Seemingly new restrictions to CSG Operations, bug or feature?

As of writing this today (May 13th, 2025 at 4:53 UTC) studio CSG Operations now have some weird quirks i did not previously experience, some of them include:

Now impossible to convert Roblox Parts into UnionOperations if no less than 2 parts are selected

Expected behavior being that after selecting 1 or more Parts, Union option in the UI would light up.
Resulting behavior being that the Union option remains unavailable until selecting a new part.

This may not sound like its too big of a deal as converting single Roblox Parts into UnionOperations doesn’t change anything, except when it comes to Cylinders and Spheres, which rely on their UnionOperation forms to take more dynamic shapes that are useful when building.

To achieve this now, a second step is required:

But now what has caught my attention specially and compelled me to ask for help and hopefully get official attention from Roblox is:

CSG is now unable to unionize parts placed by @stravant 's Gapfill Plugin which is a huge deal, because this plugin is at times very necessary to achieve complex geometry likes cones, or to quickly achieve things like filling the gap between 3 intersecting wedges:

Now, for whatever reason, parts placed by Gapfill will completely disable the option to unionize the selected parts as long as those parts placed by Gapfill are in the mix of selected parts.

The consequence of this is that shapes like these are now impossible to organize and refine properly with CSG, making them impractical to use, this cone shape specifically i created yesterday and managed to perfect with CSG before today rolled around when i am no longer able to do so.

In conclusion, i just really hope this is a bug and gets addressed because it introduces limitations and inconveniences that have not existed previously, and if it is intentional then i’d like to know what the reasoning behind this change was, as it just makes things even harder to do as a builder.

I’m really surprised to see this, I’m having exactly the same problem using these same plugins to build, curious to see other people noticing this same detail. I really hope this is a bug, it would be chaos for me to simply lose the tool I use most in my building/modeling style in game
