When using my animation plugin, I found that my framerate drops massively when I select any moving part:
Notice how hovering over the model doesn’t drop the frames. It only happens when I select the model.
Just to make sure it wasn’t my plugin’s fault, I tested it with the command bar, which produced the same result:
Expected behavior
No lag is experienced when selecting moving parts.
I am on the latest studio version.
I have the DraggerQOL beta feature enabled.
Edit: I tested it with the DraggerQOL disabled, and it seems the frames drop even more with the old draggers.

The draggers are optimized with the assumption that in edit mode they’ll be used on static objects. Under that assumption aggressively pre-compute a bunch of info to be able to begin and end drags very quickly once you’ve selected something.
They still work correctly when used on moving objects in edit mode but at considerable cost because they aren’t optimized for that, which is what you’re seeing here. This is the expected behavior.
