Hi Developers,
I’d like some honest feedback on a project I’m currently designing.
Over the past several months, I’ve been working on a series of guided, single-player experiences that teach players how to respond in real-world emergency situations using information from reputable organizations and public safety guidance. The goal is education and awareness, not entertainment through tragedy.
One of the final experiences in the series focuses on the warning signs and prevention of school violence. The player experiences the story from the perspective of a student during the weeks leading up to an incident. The experience emphasizes recognizing behavioral warning signs, reporting concerns to trusted adults, understanding lockdown procedures, and making informed decisions during an emergency.
To be clear:
- The shooter is never shown or playable.
- There is no graphic violence, blood, or gore.
- It is not a roleplay game or a shooter.
- The focus is entirely on prevention, awareness, and preparedness.
All statistics and educational material are sourced from reputable organizations to ensure the information presented is accurate and responsible.
My main questions are:
- Based on Roblox’s Community Standards, how likely is a project like this to face moderation issues?
- Are there specific design choices you think would help keep the experience educational rather than sensational?
- If you were building this, what would you avoid or approach?
I’d really appreciate constructive feedback from anyone with experience publishing serious or educational content on the platform. Thanks!
