I need some help with this.
I have these beta features enabled, face capture, acoustic simulation, assistant mesh generation, new camera controls, improved find all replace all, next gen studio preview.
Did you have a beta program enabled? The “Error while receiving data” is commonly associated with one. It could also be that a developer was enrolled into a beta program, causing corruption.
Version History should be able to help you rollback to before Server Authority made any changes, as Galactic mentioned. I missed it when skimming through and made this reply, my bad.
Thanks for the report, I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with your place!
Have you tried narrowing this down to a specific Beta feature or Server Authority by toggling them individually, testing to see if your place changes, or some other similar process? Also could you explain specifically what changes you’re seeing? I see some things that look out of place in the screenshots, but I want to make sure I understand what you’re reporting.
I have never had issues until i enabled server authority and than updated my roblox studio, after that my game turned out like that like corrupted models like you can see in the screenshots.
Had the same issue, specifically with Unions in one of my projects as well. It was only after opening it with the Server Authority beta enabled. If you roll the place back to before the beta was enabled then back to the 2nd most recent version it seems to fix some of the union issues.
Our experience Greenville has also experienced this, and we know for sure it has to do with server authority. Our map is very large, and it seems to be random parts, regardless of parent class.
We have been experiencing the same problem and we can confirm it is in relation to server authority. specifically we have been having issues on our larger projects which hold more detail and graphical design. lower tier projects of ours dont seem to be affected in any way.
Running a simple test with 2 different versions prior/post rollout, se see the issue is occuring as part of the rollout. another issue we have seen is it seems to be bricking the client scripts on our elevator engine we use which handles door movement on the clientside.
we have been in contact with the elevator engine’s creator to figure out whats causing those issues and how we may be able to hotfix it.
Reproduced it after around 7 errors being thrown when trying to connect to the Team Create session. NirminiResearchComplexDevSite-ServerAuthorityEAPBug.rbxl (5.9 MB)
In my case, it seems to mostly affect unions and makes it so they rotate (usually 90 degrees) and cannot be rotated back.
Errors when trying to open the project:
