I am trying to update my game but it fails and this error comes up. Why is this happening and what are the steps to resolve this issue on my end?

this is happening to us as well!
after you publish, it errors:
it doesn’t let you press any more buttons:
and you also can’t download the place file, because studio tries to call PublishService first, which seems like an oversight

I’m experiencing it too. I’ve just had to temporarily private one of my games because of this, as i was working on a very major bug fix that i now can’t publish.

Yep, having the same issue, right now I’m just leaving Studio open in hopes I won’t get disconnected and the issue gets fixed, I have some progress ready for saving that I do NOT want to lose. I also made local files of models/scripts e.t.c. that I suspect might not have been saved on server. Sadly you are not able to download a copy of the entire place either so the seperate files for each script/model have to suffice.

It seems to have suddenly started occurring almost 30 minutes or so ago for us too. Either Server Save Failure or Server Publish Failure results in the message “PublishService AssetUpload failed. Info: UploadStatusPolling max polling retry reached”.
Download a copy seems to try and first Save with PublishService… So we can’t download, can’t save changes, and can’t publish changes.
This really presents the concern of whether we’ll end up losing our place changes in Studio.
