Hi!
I have a row of 4 parts that have click detectors in them and the 4 parts are grouped into one model.
I have that same model duplicated 3 times in the exact same location with the intention of having
each model set perform different tasks when clicked on. Each model has the click detectors max distance
set to 0 unless it is “On”, this way they do not conflict. However no matter what the max distance is set to,
any models below the top one get buried and are not clickable. I understand why but I’m looking for a solution. See image attached. Thanks in advance for any advise!
Why not have a common ClickDetector and just check for which model is currently on inside the connection?
What are you trying to do exactly? Having click detectors with parent objects that have identical 3D data (Position, Size, Orientation) won’t work.
If each of those models has its own ClickDetector they shouldn’t interfere with the other models’ ClickDetectors. Is it possible you might have left a detector parented to the “Test” model by accident?
This was my first approach and it did not work out too well. I will revisit it though… thanks!
I verified that all the parents are correct… thank you for the reply
I ended up restructuring the mechanics completely as to no longer have multiple clickers. Working now
Thank you all for the feedback!
