Every time I rejoin, ALL settings will be reset. This includes Graphics Quality and Maximum Frame Rate. It is quite annoying, and I don’t want to reset the settings every time I rejoin a game because it’s quite irritating.
Expected behavior
None of this would happen, the settings would stay as they are.
It’s usually caused by your windows user containing non english letters. Only way to fix it is reinstall windows with an user that doesn’t contain english letters.
I tried changing the username without uninstalling, and it broke some programs thus i had to reinstall the windows.
alright i see, i know a simple solution to this bug through win+r → netplwiz. it didnt break my computer.
edit: turns out its the USER name. the computer name itself stayed as it is. is there any other solution besides presumably reinstalling windows?

You’ve hit on the issue already - improper handling of the OS user name when creating the save file.
I got it to work by migrating to a new account. Reinstalling windows is unecessary !
As stated in the linked bug report, I already experienced that in the past, and got it fixed, however the issue occurred again after awhile for no apparent reasons as no change were made to how roblox apps interact with the %userprofile% variable.
i bought a used pc, and it came with a non-english username. i guess i’ll live with it until roblox fixes something, as i’m not willing to redownload anything.,
The issue seems to be fixed on it’s own. I’ll repost this incase this happens again, but it’s probably in a long time.
