Device information:
Phone - Galaxy S20 FE
Pc - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G @ 3.9 GHz, 32 GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
Issue:
My game zooms in and out using the camera’s fov (eases with a lerping function), and when zooming out, the shadows seem to glitch for a second. For both in and out zooming, shadows seem to shift a bit.
I’ve tried on both pc and mobile, and it seems to only majorly happen on mobile.
On pc, the edges of shadows twitch a little, but that is fine and I believe is normal.
Camera setup:
- Camera is sort of far from focus (offset of 80, 80, -80) with low field of view for an orthographic kind of effect
↳ Seems to not have these glitches with high fov & low distance rather than low fov & high distance, but that doesn’t fit my game’s style - Camera focus is set to the location without offset (where the camera is looking at)
- Zooms in and out by lerping fov
Video & demo place:
(demo place doesn’t have as dramatic of an effect; I couldn’t get it very accurate to real place)

My opinion:
- I wonder if this has to do with lod, since my camera is sort of far away, but other people say focus is where the game is most detailed.
↳ If it is, my game would heavily benefit from a feature to base the game’s detail on the camera’s focus rather than position.
↳ Unrelated to the bug, lighting effects like atmosphere, depth of field, etc. are based on camera location, not focus, and I don’t think you can change this, so my game can’t use them how I’d want to
Expected behavior
I expect the shadows to stay in the same places and that the weird lines don’t occur
