Should I just keep iterating on the game loop and sponsoring?

Hello, so I’ve been making a game since last week and have been sponsoring it and I’ve been really just focusing on the core game loop and it’s been working really well, my question is should I just keep sponsoring it until I inevitable get into the algorithm and then worry about monetization and other features?

Here are the recent campaign stats

The game is pretty good—I’ve tried it.

In my opinion, you should add more features before monetizing it. This way, more players will be encouraged to stick around and play for reasons beyond just the core game loop mechanics.

After adding a feature or two, you can then monetize the game even more effectively.

In my opinion you should include monetization now even if it’s something simple and cheap.

Roblox algorithm does use your retention, engagement, and “monetization”, so ignoring the last one will only help the algorithm by 65%.

Nice Name btw, I hope your game became successful so you be @finaIlyhappy .

Well, you got 4K visits, but only 10 favorites, a medium like/dislike ratio, and 0% player retention. So, you should prioritize adding much more features first, as the game feels very empty.

Additionally, since it’s a PVP game, you can’t play when no one is on the server, and as you’re starting from nothing, consider making it PVPVE by adding bots to replace players until others join.

Wait… After reading @Crygen54 reply.
What’s the reason you are sponsoring the game while working on your game loop?

Generally you should get feedback from playtesters ( free/paid you pick) and using their feedback and your vision to refine the gameplay loop.

You can’t really know from ( normal ) players if your game loop is working, boring, bugged, has a balance issue and so on…

Mind me asking how did you get this info?

There are currently 0 active players. Typically, with a ~$20 sponsorship and a decent player retention rate, you should have between 10 to 50 active players.
