Should i switch lighting from SHADOW to VOXEL?

is it WORTH it in terms of PERFORMANCE?

I was also wondering the same thing, so I have a follow-up to this question. Would it be worth it to place all mobile players on Voxel lighting in order to get the best of both worlds?

I personally vote no. Mobile players are often playing low graphics which disables shadows emitted from sun and mostly emphasizes on voxel engine anyway. Also most mobile players may suffer CPU intensive task (Models render, Resolution, etc).

From my experience, the performance between Voxel and Shadow isn’t noticeable to drop the graphical quality.

But Voxel is going to be removed soon due to an beta feature called UnifiedLight…

If we want to be technical then yes. However, you can still make lighting mimic Voxel by basically turning off “PrioritizeLightingQuality” And Lighting Style set to “Soft”. So with that, I still think Voxel still exist with Unified Lighting.
