In 2050, Oklahoma had a boom in energy convertible ore to be sold internationally making it extremely profitable. Naming a new city as its capital, by 2075 Geopolis became one of the largest cities in the U.S. providing a new promise for high paying jobs. Soon the U.S. military found Geopolis, Oklahoma to be an incredible opportunity for military and government advancements soon providing the city with high military presence and government funded bases.
Tensions began to rise in Europe and Asia over property disputes and political disagreements after the fall of the United Nations and European Union.
The world was thrown into what was known as the Greater Cold War, The U.S. allying with several European countries, Israel and Canada while going up against the New United Socialist Federation or NUSF, a union developed between Russia, China, Greater Korea, Iran and Pakistan primarily and later Annexed Britain.
As the war raged, causing countless casualties in the European and Middle Eastern fronts, The U.S. had been hit by an unexpected move from the NUSF to fire long range missiles from a base in annexed Puru and hitting California.
After Californias surrender, the British and Chinese Forces of the NUSF moved in on ships and in aircraft, marching on California towards the borders of neighboring states. Soon taking Texas, New Mexico and Hawaii, The fight came to Geopolis, Oklahoma.
A brutal battle for the city lastest 4 days, the NUSF were successfully pushed back for a few hours but not for long before returning to the city dropping “The Sun” an EMP bomb with the blast radius of a 1.2 megaton nuclear bomb, disarming all electronics and vehicles in its blast zone. After The Sun being dropped, they proceeded to bomb Geopolis heavily from stealth fighters before retreating back to Puru. With one of the largest military bases in the U.S. bombed into oblivion, America was at a tactical disadvantage. The U.S. and Allying countries marched on NUSF Capitols in China, and Russia, Launching several nuclear missiles into Kazan, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Beijing and Shanghai. Not much is known to Geopolis citizens what happened to the rest of America, It’s understood that Washington was annihilated with nuclear blasts spanning Virginia,
Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina and New York from the Russian Forces of the NUSF and that Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska were hit hard with a spreading fungal bio weapon from the Korean and Iranian Forces of the NUSF.
