Hey, I just had a quick question since when I searched it I couldn’t find a clear answer.
If I were to do an update for my game and put it under a different group and keep both the original game and the updated game up, is that against the TOS? Where do you draw the line from re-uploading the same game twice, which I believe is against TOS to an updated version of the game that you couldn’t get in trouble for?
I know a lot of cafes and stuff will upload a new version under a completely different game although its kind of simiialir? I really wish I could find a clear answer to this.
I mean just because you say that doesn’t mean its true, no offence! But I am glad to see we both agree on this, I really hope a roblox admin can stumble apon this and answer it for us.
It depends really, if the second group is specifically named the “development” or “testing” group of the main group, then I believe it should be fine. However, if both groups are completely different I would suggest not doing it as many people may think it was stolen from the other.
If you want to play it safe, just upload the updated game on a test account (or your account possibly) and turn on Team Create to collaborate
Games like ‘Piggy but 100 players’ is technally an updatedversion of the game, but bothgamesareup. It really depends on what kind of ‘updated’ you are talking about.
