Sith Order | Ritual Regulations: Kaggath

[Introduction]
This Developer Forum Post outlines the rules and regulations of the Ancient Sith Ritual known as the Kaggath. This Document will explain what a Kaggath is and what rules surround it.

[What is a Kaggath?]
A Kaggath is a complication of events between two Sith in contest to declare the best. It often involves two parts. The first part will be selected by the Challengee, and the second part will be a duel.

[Who can declare a Kaggath?]
A Kaggath can only be declared only a Sith who is recognized by the Dark Council as having sufficient power and authority… Sith Overseer and above are automatically recognised, as are Divisional HRs. In order for any other rank to be recognised they must be noted by at least member of the Council. Any rank may ask a Dark Lord to recognise them. It is up to the Dark Lord how they decide to test them.

[Who can a Kaggath be declared against?]
A Kaggath can be declared any rank unless they are apart of the Exclusion List (see below), but only a Sith Lord may challenge the Dark Council and only Adept+ may challenge Sith Knight - Sith Lord. Furthermore, only the Dark Council may challenge the Sith Emperor and they must obtain the Administrators prior approval. Those who are excluded are also prevented from declaring a Kaggath unless approval is sought from the Dark Council.

Exclusion List

  • Members of the Imperial Guard
  • Members of the Hand of the Emperor
  • Members of the Sith Intelligence Service
  • Sith Emperor

[How to declare a Kaggath]
To declare a Kaggath you must send a formal challenge via DMs to the person you wish to battle. If the Challengee wishes to decline your declaration they will lose their asset for which they are being challenged unless they can prove one of the Invalidation Conditions (see below) have been met. If they cannot prove this, the Dark Council will take the action they see fit. If the Challengee accepts your declaration you must again, inform the Dark Council of this. The Challengee will set the following: the Arena (where the Kaggath will take place) and a time frame where once the time is up it will be declared a draw.

Invalidation Conditions

  • The Sith in question has not been recognised
  • The Challengee is a member of the Exclusion List
  • It is in the Orders best interests for the Kaggath not to take place
  • The Kaggath threatens Internal Security.

[The Kaggath]
Part One
This Part will be whatever the Challenger feels is suitable. This could be a Lore Quiz to a game of Minecraft 1v1. Can literally be anything that a victor can be suitable measured and is easy access for all Participants and Supervisors.

Part Two: The Duel
The Duel will take place in the arena set by the Challengee. This can range from a single room, to a Duelling Mat to an entire map-wide Battle. If the Participants are Leaders of official Factions they may call on them for assistance, they may use all Gamepasses, they may use all their resources; which includes Divisional tools and Personnel if you are the Leader.

[Victory or Defeat]
A Victor is decided by the Supervisor. Part One is a simple bit of fun to hype you and warm your fingers up. It will not count towards the final decision. The Supervisor will observe your Duel and the winner will be declared at their discretion unless there is a Surrender. The Supervisor has the right to throw additional tasks into the mix. If the Supervisor feels someone has cheated or a Victor cannot be concluded they can declare a Mistrial. This means that the Kaggath has been cancelled. Nothing happens to the participants assets and they cannot challenge each other again for 90 days. In the event cheating can be proven, the other participant, alongside the Dark Council will decide their fate.

[Rules]
Violation of these rules will result in the immediate loss of the Kaggath and punishment as seen fit by the Dark Council.

  • Exploiting
  • Asking for help during the Kaggath
  • Fleeing the Arena
In the event of Server Issues the Kaggath may be retaken ONCE more
  • If the Arena involves a restricted area, all participants have access to those areas if you alert your Supervisor prior.
  • Supervisors and Participants may add their own rules such as “No entering…”, or, “No Gamepasses” etc.

[Supervisors]
A Supervisor is a Sith who has been agreed by both Participants to oversee the Kaggath. They must be at least the rank of Sith Knight and be at least one rank superior to the highest ranking Participant. If the Kaggath Participant involves the Dark Council, the Supervisor must be the Sith Emperor, or be approved as the Supervisor by the Sith Emperor.

[Dark Council powers]
The Dark Council has the right to interfere in any Kaggath. This can mean halting one, or declaring a Victor or however they see fit to preserve the integrity of the Order.

[Closing Statement]
And there we have it. The Kaggath Ritual Guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact any member of the Dark Council or Administrator.
