I don’t know if this was mentioned or not, but Voxels on Smooth Terrain sometimes does not decrease whenever you subtract or erode parts of the terrain. I’ve been messing around with it for a week or so and particularly I’ve made a small map with terrain, which is supposed to be around ~10 million voxels. But continuous edits (grow, erode, etc) with terrain has brought that count up to around 80 million voxels. This has caused significant performance issues. The loading time is significantly affected and has made joining the place on mobile impossible.
I believe it sets the material to air. Not sure as to why Air would need to be transmitted as I’d assume it’s the default for Voxels. Not sure of any fix, possibly an issue with save files and data transmission.
Can you attach the place file in a confidential section?
edit: Never mind, it’s Quarry! I’m looking into it. Something to note is that voxel count is currently approximate with smooth terrain, especially in cases where there’s a thin layer of solid voxels…
