Snadbox's logs and summary (VR Hands)

[ What is Snadbox? ]

A new VR Hands type game! People with a VR Headset can manipulate, grab, and throw objects and just overall vibe out with other VR Players. There are over 30+ grabbable items. Participate in mini-games available to you (only for VR Players for now) for additional cash earning, make new friends, and just hangout and socialize with other players! Buy cosmetics, (fidget) toys, etc. People without a VR Headset can still play the game but won’t be put in a VR Rig. Play the game actively (or finish a parkour) to get cash and buy cosmetics/items. If you’re a VR Player, new or not, it is HIGHLY recommended to observe and read your surroundings in your spawn.

[ Summary of Snadbox v3 [VR Hands] | Date: 2/28/22 ]

Contents that have been added/updated:
  • VR Players are now unable to grab Non-VR Players while they’re in the rocket
  • Everybody gets teleported to their designated spawn whenever all the items on Snadbox refresh
  • Made 8+ items microwavable and added ParticleEmitters for exploding/bursting items in the microwave
  • More jeeps around the map and on different floors
  • VR Players are frozen/locked upon the Announcement Panel opening up (to thaw/unlock yourself, simply exit out of the Announcement Panel). I added this mechanism because VR Players tend to not see their Announcement Panel pop up
  • Swords from your Item Panel can now chop carrots
  • Veterans and Investors now have colored name tags for VR
  • Non-VR Players now have custom (not customizable by player) user status tags
  • Toaster is now interactable
  • Non-VR Players can now burn on the stove top
  • Stove top fire can now be turned off by a VR Player
  • You can now open doors for Non-VR Players to travel through
  • More carrots around the map (cause why not)
  • Soda cans can now run out of liquid
  • Spices can now run out of content (spices)
  • Microwave can now be opened
  • Stove fire is now illuminated
  • Jeeps and tennis balls become anomalous temporarily when they’re on fire :eyes:
  • Jeep will automatically flip itself if it is rolled over
  • 1000 Degree Knife (only lasts 20 - 45 seconds at random)
  • Fixed gravity (not being altered/manipulated to scale) on all grabbable objects
  • Updated a BGM song
  • Removed update/added/fixed board in the Ant Tank and VR Spawn (I removed because there is just too much to add)
  • Some barriers to parkour to negate gravity coil and/or balloon users
  • Non-VR Players can now muffle or mute the BGM (located in the top left of your screen)
  • “Currently Playing: InsertCurrentlyPlayingSongNameByTheServer” feature for Non-VR Players (located in the bottom right of your screen)
  • A special note/letter for new Non-VR Players
  • Server version is now displayed on the Server Stats board
  • Other places that are on fire can now burn Non-VR Players
  • Fridge now dispenses ice cubes
  • Milkshakes are now random color
  • Grabbing plushies will now make a little squeak
  • Custom chat system for Non-VR Players to be able to communicate with HTC Vive and Valve Index VR headset users. And that it makes communication between VR and Non-VR players much more easier
  • A level system for Non-VR Players (this will be very useful later in Snadbox’s journey)
Contents that have been fixed:
  • Building errors
  • VR Players shoving their hand in the ant tank
  • Bouncy balls not coloring
  • Knives (knife shelf) in the kitchen can now actually store knives
  • Players being thrown should be more efficient now (do not abuse this, I won’t hesitate to remove this feature)
  • Grabbing objects will no longer fling other objects near it as much
  • Found a work-around with the “slight” clipping or touching of the VR Player barrier causing you to get teleported back to spawn even when you didn’t “clip” or “touch” it in the “slightest” bit
  • New (VR user status) users collision permissions
  • Loading assets will now load more of necessary/importance (basically less loading to do)
  • Spices are now easier to shake (to get the contents out)
  • Traveling through mouse tunnels will not get you stuck in the wall as much
  • Improved anti-cheat systems
  • Admins and Developers can no longer be kicked by the anti-cheat system :slight_smile:
  • Rocket colliding with Air-hockey table
  • Camera colliding with Rocket (not being able to see outside or “Camera pop”)
  • Can’t buy Trusted User Sword
  • Grabbing objects while holding sword or sparkler or fidget spinner
  • Admin commands/permissions
  • Glowsticks are now brighter or pastel (in color)
  • Improved RadioUI looks for special Non-VR Players that have access to radios
  • Ice cubes spawning twice
  • Dispensing ice cubes and soda cans aren’t collided properly
  • Non-VR Players being able to respawn while they’re being microwaved or toasted
  • Non-VR Players not being respawned/affected after being on fire
  • Unreported bugs
  • Particles for the Trusted User sword (Ivory) has been reduced to reduce lag
Known fatal errors:
  • Grabbing plushies will sometimes void your hand and falsely kick (strike) you. If you see a plushie that seems glitchy or that it is spazzing out on the floor, don’t pick it up as it might void your hand. This is a rare occurrence though. I can revoke your strike if you have a clip/recording of your unpleasant encounter (THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED AND SHOULD NO LONGER OCCUR)
  • Your hand disappearing because of poor motion tracking and falsely kick (strike) you. This is usually common in VR headsets (mostly Oculus Quest 2 as testers were mostly Oculus Quest 2 users) that are wireless. It is recommended to stay wired. I can revoke your strike if you have a clip/recording of your unpleasant encounter
  • You keep teleporting to spawn as a VR Player (the front door) consistently even though you’ve never touched a barrier. I’m currently working on a fix (THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED AND SHOULD OCCUR LESS)
  • Sometimes you won’t load assets or that your UI (like the Non-VR Shop and your buttons at top) and NameTag is not there (rejoin to fix this problem). This is only a rare occurrence though (THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED AND SHOULD OCCUR LESS)
  • Buying cash with ROBUX is no longer working for some reason. I’m currently working on a fix

[ Summary of Snadbox v2 [VR Hands] | Date: 1/23/22 ]

Contents that have been added/updated:
  • 20+ new grabbable items
  • Microwave can now be used
  • Some items microwaveable
  • Some items more interactive (Cutting carrots, cooking meat, exploding eGGs :eyes:, etcetera)
  • Drawing canvases
  • Mouse tunnels/holes for Non-VR Players to travel through
  • VR Players can no longer put their hand or items and shove/block the entrance/exit of the spawn of Non-VR Players
  • Panel UI’s more brighter
  • Environment of the map (Lighting, foliage, etcetera)
  • Parkour for Non-VR Players
  • Chests scattered around the map now give rewards upon touching it (Only for Non-VR Players and there is a cooldown for 24 hours for each chest)
  • Winning a mini-game will now give you 5 dollars (Only if there are more than 8 VR Players in your server. If you’re a premium member, you’ll get 2x the amount)
  • Private server will no longer update/give you more Playtime points and cash
  • Premium members getting 2x the amount of cash every 2 1/2 minutes
  • Fixed barriers for VR Players
  • “Investor” and “Veteran” role
  • Server stats board
  • You can now buy cash with ROBUX (This will not put you on the donation leaderboard. THIS FEATURE HAS BEEN REMOVED DUE TO UNEXPECTED ERRORS IN GIVING YOU CASH)
  • Colored jeeps
  • Touching a barrier drops your items then teleports you (this is to prevent specifically plushies or other items from being flung upon teleporting)
Contents that have been fixed:
  • Building errors

  • VR Players boxing other players outside the arena
  • Red queue button for the boxing arena/match turning blue
