So Explosions Don't Fling The Player

Hey Developers,

I am having trouble with finding a way for an Explosion to go off in front of a player and not affect them. The trick with this is that I don’t want to turn the BlastPressure or BreakJointRadiusPercent down. I need to keep the bomb defaults the same, but not move the character a stud.

I have searched the forums/wiki for possible solutions and haven’t found a solution.

You can probably (on the client) set the blastpressue to 0 and breakjointradiuspercent (Dont know if this part will work though) to 0 but have it keep its default values on the server as per usual. That way, players won’t be affected (hopefully) while other things will.

But what is your use case for this? There might be a better idea/solution.

I have attempted your solution, and I am sad to say that it still flings the player. I appreciate it though!

Correction, after finding out the event wasn’t firing, I got it to work! :joy:
