First of all, thank you for taking your time to read this post.
I’m the owner from Go-Karting Xtreme, a group which easily gets over 100 different players a day. (We have scheduled racing sessions where users can participate in)
Hovever, our current income is only through merchandise and donations, which doesn’t result in a healthy bussiness. I’ve been thinking of how I could monetize the game better, which also won’t make it “pay to win”.
Several examples I and the Board of Executives came up with:
Have a VIP pass which allows early access to the briefing room so you can choose your seat as you wish, and you’ll be teleported to the track half a minute earlier than the rest so you can choose the kart you desire.
Have a kart customization menu, where players can change the tires and maybe beams, or smoke,… Per time they change it, (won’t save) it costs for example 10 R$.
However, the first one is rather easy to implement, but I’m not sure if that’ll work out great. The second one powers the creativity from players, but it requires way more work. (We’d need a gui / workshop and scripts to apply these changes)…
Therefore, I’m looking for a development solution which doesn’t cost too much to develop, but which is able to return some good revenue results.
A link to your game would be helpful, but here is an idea to keep players engaged and increase monetization. Customizable helmets with skins or customizable karts. Skins could be obtained through crate. This could open up enormous opportunity for currency purchases. It would also be 100% not pay-to-win. I hope this helps
Aha, so you’d suggest making some thing of crate system? I like that one! For example, if you win a race you can be given X amount of points. You can unlock new helmets by buying them with points. If you don’t have enough points, you can use Robux to buy some more.
