I am trying to make a game where you play as a custom character and set it’s animations up.
Every animation works and replicates except the Idle one, i run the animations on the client and when i run the idle animation it does not get replicated.
I tried ensuring that the animation is looped which i came across another problem because when i played the animation on the client without manually setting its loop value it would not loop but on the animation editor the looped icon seems to be toggled on for the animation.
maybe you should try having a remote event that plays the animation on the client,
my reason for this suggestion is that the “animate” script, which is the reason why animations occur on the character is a client sided script, not a server sided one. So maybe switch from server to client and call these animations from the server with remote events
how is playing the wrong animation, what will it do because the player’s root part stays on the same place even with the animation. And i dont see people exploiting with the “animate” script either so i dont see your point
I tried creating a seperate local script and delayed a task to run 3 seconds after I load my character to load up the idle animation and suddenly it started working with no issue, for some reason though if i make the delay less than 3 seconds it breaks again. Thanks for helping though
