Sponsor Question

So I’m deciding between sponsoring via tablet or mobile, but I heard that mobile brings in more people despite your ctr. but I also heard that tablet turns out to be more profitable.

I’m almost finishing up a game and I have 200k+ robux budget for investment, I would like your inputs.

thanks.

Alright, makes sencse. Here’s what I would do.
I would…

125K → MOBILE
75K → TABLET

Orr… spend 25k on both and see which one’s more profitable and then decide which one works best for you? Running out of investment money in one go is terrible money management.

I agree with you, every game is different you should try them out first. Also don’t spend all your budget in one go but spread it out.

Can always work, why wont it???

Not all games appeal to mobile and tablet in a ratio of 5:3. It’s worth discovering which one is most profitable first.

If you have a game that works amazingly on tablet but the UI is too small on mobile for example, then you’ve wasted money by prioritising mobile sponsorship.

I was thinking of doing test runs like 5k each and compare the results in average lenght time, visits, robux, how much 1 visits gives per robux ect. Seems like the most logical thing to do at this point.

I don’t understand what you mean by that.

There’s a chance of it working, but it’s very rare.
You should always test the water before blowing your money on something that might not work.

In short, “can always work” is a false statement.

There’s no reason on focusing on either tbh. Catering to all audiences is the best way to grow a sustainable community. You generally don’t need more than 50k robux in adveritising/sponsoring your game.

Find a balance between all the devices

It’s a good argument you have and I agree to some extent.
However, in a situation where you want to appeal to a younger audience (e.g. Adopt Me, MeepCity), you’ll want to target mobile and tablet users. Younger people usually have mobile devices, opposed to computers as they are generally cheaper and easier for parents to manage.

Not true at all. Even though the younger audience may have mobiles/phones, it doesn’t mean the majority of the players inside those games are mobiles/phones.

Don’t exclude computers for that reason xd.
I find that I use sponsors if I want to kick-start the game to get 100-150 players to later than adveritise; the best way to get that amount is putting more than 50% of the funds into PC

That is exactly where my targeted audience is. I just have to see which console works best for my specific game.

Not excluding PC completely. This is why experimenting is useful.

“Even though the younger audience may have mobiles/phones, it doesn’t mean the majority of the players inside those games are mobiles/phones.”

They would, if your audience is the younger audience. Obviously 100% of your game won’t be mobile, but there’s a higher chance it would be.

Do you have any statistics you’re basing this information on? From what I can see; it strays pretty far from what you’re claiming.

Usually for me Tablet brings the most Revenue, and also, when you check the visits by age category I noticed I always get a bigger vists by 6 or under /7 or under as oppose to 14+

Yea I usually like to spread out my investment in intervals rather than a sum. I like the 50k robux idea.

You might aswell go with 5k on pc, mobile and tablet. Find out what ratio your visits are. What ratio your revenue are, etc.

Then purchase ads in the same ratio with 85k. (Half of your total sum spent then)

never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER

NEGLECT XBOX!!!

everybody forgets about xbox, and it’s an absolute goldmine. for 10k in sponsors you can easily get 400 concurrent players boost on a half decent game.

At what CTR though??? to get 400 players
