Sponsored Ads & Botting

What is your CTR atm? Engagement is just to meet the requirements to roblox age group reduction tho, I would after the age group has been reduced spend half of it on plays and half on engagement (that’s how I do it), until you get a more stable CCU and get on roblox algorithm.

Everything depends also on the game genre you are from, for that genre I’m confident you need alot to invest alot on ads.

Also the “bots” can be just kids, you should try adding funnels to your game tutorial/first phases

maybe your creatives aren’t working, and are bringing low quality players. That’s what happened to me at first time using ads

iirc 1.75%? the bots could be kids, however i’ve had my cousins play and they had no issues with it, but thats like 2 people so you could still be right… there is a chance its my creatives as well, i’m testing a bunch out & the best i’ve had is AI slop unfortunately… but across all my games ive made i’ve never broke past like 2.5% so maybe i just suck at making games and should quit forever! i do have funnels, just waiting for cohort to populate because i adjusted it last night.

1.75% is bad, you should try hiring another artist. 1.75% likely means roblox is DESPERATE to find someone to click your ads.

My ads started to bring actual players after 5% CTR.

oh dear… i’ve seen alot of people saying 2% is avg so maybe i need to rethink how im approaching it because im doing gfx myself lol

2% is the average but specially for your game genre, it should be 5%-10%

i dont want to sound rude especially after youre giving me advice, i just don’t see how 5% (nevermind 10%!) is possible? can i see your game’s thumbnails if you don’t mind?

They are all hand drawn thumbnails, work well for my game because of its genre. Likely yours would require a GFX artist, anyways, got each of the thumbnails I use on my ads for 1-1.5K robux. So it’s a good price to increase the CTR by 3%, I had the same problem of 2% CTR.

There is no need to substitute concepts. The problem with bots is not MM2, but Roblox.

then show evidence of other games being as botted as MM2, which i presume is where you got your screenshot from. if im wrong just say but i think you took the most botted game and used it as evidence that every game is botted.

Adopt Me looks fine

TBOD^2

just 2 examples which dont really look botted that i chose randomly from front page

did you find yours from hiddendevs or something similar?

In Blox Fruits, Steal a Brainrot, Keyboard Escape, the number of bots is about 90 percent, in other games there are fewer, but there are plenty of them.

Most of those it’s really profitable to bot and sell in-game items.

Of course, they sell hundreds of thousands of accounts and game items, but they’re probably richer than Roblox. And in their free time from sales, they spoil statistics for people who have bought ads in Roblox. Who are these mysterious, elusive hackers?

There’s thousands of people who sell stuff, like thousands, and with less than 4$ you can get over 1K alternative accounts, so it’s not that crazy to see a million bots.

The rest maybe are just children and roblox itself, I tried spending 100$ in a daily budget for engagement, ended up losing alot and gaining almost nothing, while my ads with less than 20 credits/day are giving almost 10K robux per day. If roblox ads cannot find enough people to your ad they will try to get ANY person by ANY mean, that’s what I noticed in my game.

Kids and hackers have been keeping games on the Roblox top list for years for free. How well everything turned out, I’m glad that Roblox has nothing to do with it..

yes.

That’s because they automatically detect and ban bots and exploiters. Murder Mystery 2 doesn’t, the dude doesn’t even really care about the game anymore he just makes money so he does events to keep it active.

There are still hundreds of exploitable backend stuff that has existed for years that haven’t been fixed, like for example, the exploit that allows you to see whom the sheriff and murder is by firing a developer debug event that ANYONE CAN FIRE which has existed since the very beginning of experimental modes departure in 2018.

Thanks for flagging this! We’re looking into it.

Thank you for looking into it! It seems a widespread problem from the responses to the thread so I’m glad its finally getting some time in the limelight:)
