thats not how it works lmao. if i put 17 credits into the campaign it will try to use all of it when bidding. if i dont win the auction, i dont spend anything. the minimum 10 ad credits is when you make a new campaign.
Just a tip to anyone affected by the objectively inferior advertising system (Almost anyone reading this): Try making booths on “Pls Donate” since it lists all of your for-sale gamepasses and you can tell people about your game that way.
Not as effective as the old user ads system but still will probably be more effective than the new one unless you spend upwards of 10k Robux on ad credits (Which doesn’t do much from many reports too).
Also helps you build a community which ads don’t really help with.
I know we all want user ads to come back but after they decided to put paid limits on their rock-bottom-quality datastore servers and remove premium payouts and then add to that theofficialteddy situation, I have lost all faith in any hope of any new positive decisions from the Roblox Corporation.
The only way to force them to back down on these purely greed-motivated practices is if they lose income or their beloved stock price drastically falls - but then again it will come back if they feel they can get away with it.
Just make sure to use the ads manager as little as possible if you are a young developer, a new developer, or both.
You will put a couple thousand Robux into the ad manager and your game will a few visits but nil concurrent players.
That is their ultimate goal - to have your new game fail (Because it uses their resources and there’s no guarantee you will go full EA with the monetization) but get as much money out of you before it does.
