Section 4 - Department Policies

Uniform Policy

The State Patrol is a public organization with a recognizable uniform; we must make sure we are all at our best as we’re subject to being criticized by the public and other law enforcement agencies. The State Patrol does fund uniforms you can request funds with Lilith_Kiev.

Headwear

This section includes all items that may be on your head; sunglasses, hair, hats, etc. In general terms, you must not wear any headgear that may be seen as “lore breaking” while on-duty. Lore breaking is defined as any headgear you would never see a real cop wearing on a daily basis.

The standard hat for our Troopers is the iconic ranger hat. Wearing it is not mandatory and usually only fits the style of male haircuts. (https://www.roblox.com/catalog/13335289/Ranger-Hat)

We will not enforce hair standards on female Troopers as long as the hair is not outrageous itself. As long as the hair is realistic to some standard it’ll be allowed. If you’d like to be more lore-friendly by wearing a bun, go ahead. If you’d rather wear your hair down then go right ahead. Dyed hair is against uniform policy; exceptions may be granted.

T-Shirts

The same “lore breaking” rule applies. The T-Shirt must not be just a decal. The t-shirt must be transparent other than the item portrayed on the t-shirt. Acceptable t-shirts you can wear include but are not limited to body cameras, mourning bands, flag patches, rank insignia that is positioned on the collar of your shirt, and lapel mics.

Miscellaneous Accessories

Any capes, backpacks, swordpacks, or any other miscellaneous accessories are forbidden unless they are lore-friendly to the real world and what law enforcement would wear. If there is any debate over an item it will be settled by the highest-ranking supervisor available. The ruling of the highest rank will hold true unless broken by a higher-ranked officer.

Rank Insignia

Rank insignia is not mandatory at this time; if you choose to wear rank insignia it must be directly coordinated with your rank in the State Patrol.
